| Supporters of the Badan's mission are critical as we have
acknowledged in our programmes and activities. There are those who volunteer
for everyday projects which are not included in the main body of the annual
report. This is in recognition of these unsung heros and heroines.
Eric Peris and Alex Moh were faithful supporters during the performances
of Telling Tale. During this period, we were also fortunate to have Ahmad
Rasuan bin Ramli, Mohd Fauzi bin Hassin, Nor Syariza bte Othman and Diana
bte Daud, students on fieldwork assignment from Institut Teknologi MARA,
with us. They helped with the Resource Centre reorganisation. We are very
grateful to Azlan Haji Supardi, the supervising lecturer for creating
this opportunity. He was also responsible for assigning Rosnifa bte Alias,
who helped to solicit prizes for the Heritage Hunt.
Andee Yeo, from Maktab Peguruan Ilmu Khas (MPIK) singlehandedly operated
the sound and light system in the mock-Tudor building for the Troubador
Teachers and Merak Players performances. Nga Johnson was responsible for
enrolling Andee, the performers and all the teachers and students who
attended and helped with the day.
Rowena Saura has spent the time to study the Rumah Penghulu, lead tours
of the house and written and designed new information boards for the house.
Catriona James spent two months of her summer helping with research and
the Resource Centre. Russel Boyd helped in a myriad ways, from computer
installation to reorganising the storerooms. Julie Lau and Madelon Hartevelt
spent a morning raising money for the organisation at the American Association
Malaysia bazaar. Dilys Yap and Jennifer Harvey are still helping - the
former from Penang and the latter from Sydney. The powers of email and
commitment. Pam Witaker came back from abroad to help out for Heritage
Day.
