Heritage Day - consists of a half-day programme at the Heritage Centre and grounds open to the public. Participants of the education programme will have an opportunity to exhibit or perform the products from their participation in the programme. This may consist of drawings, photographs, stage performance and others. Other activities may include a treasure hunt, heritage walks, demonstrations and workshops, food fair, performances. There may also be activity with a competitive element culminating in an awards ceremony.
We will further develop a series of workshops for young people at our heritage centre focussing on traditional games and motifs. In addition, we will also continue working directly with schools and to this end we are working with Arts-Ed, Penang to develop Malaysia education curriculum subjects-based workshops and programmes for heritage education. The programmes that we offer are modular and can be tailored to specific requirements. We also offer trainer training programmes.
If you would like to help or participate in our programmes, please contact our Secretariat at 03 - 2144 9273 or e-mail heritage@badanwarisan.org.my
