Members' Trip to Negeri Sembilan We are planning a self-drive trip to Pengkalan Kempas-Linggi-Rembau for members. Among the proposed activities will include a heritage walk in Rembau, a visit to the megaliths in Pengkalan Kempas (photo above) and a top at the Dutch Fort in Linggi.

GIFT SHOP News: Discount on BWM Publications Badan Warisan Malaysia is offering a special discount on its publications to members and students.

Lee Wong Kee

This is one of the oldest surviving family-run Chinese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur. Founded by Lee Wong Kee in 1926, it first operated from a shophouse at No 203 Jalan Tun HS Lee. When offered this one-storey bungalow, Lee moved the restaurant here. The spacious grounds contributed to the success of the restaurant, allowing large parties to be held in comfort.

Tan Sri Stanley Edward Jewkes, 1913-2011
It is with great sadness that Badan Warisan Malaysia records the passing of Tan Sri Stanley Jewkes on Sunday 19 June 2011, in Florida. Jewkes would have turned 98 this October.

Mubin Sheppard Memorial Prize - Cycle 9 Winners List
The awards and prizes for the Cycle 9 (2010/2011) were conferred on 15 December 2011 preceding the 28th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Badan Warisan Malaysia (BWM). The Prize Giving Ceremony was officiated by YABhg Tun Dato’ Seri Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid, President of BWM.
