Visit to Genting Tea Estate Sunday 25 April 2010
Our Hon Secretary Dato' Henry Barlow has once again kindly opened his estate at Genting Sempah to members. New members and those who have not been able to participate in earlier visits, as well as those who enjoyed visiting the estate before, and would like to do so again, should sign up. We can only take a maximum of 50 persons for this visit.
Members: RM15 per person, Non-Members: RM30 per person
Tentative programme:
10.00 a.m. Assemble at Meeting Point: Genting Sempah Rest and Recreation area – public parking in the front. We may have to carpool from this point up as there are very limited parking spaces available.
10.30 a.m. Brief introduction to the background of the house and estate
Walk in the estate (approximately 1 hour)
Picnic Lunch
Talk on moths & butterflies
2.30 p.m. Pack up and preparation for departure
As this is a private estate, please note that NO PHOTOGRAPHY is allowed inside the house. Access to the restrooms will be indicated when we arrive at the house.
Reminder:
1) Please bring your own picnic lunch & drinks. No food or drinks will be provided.
2) Because of the current variable weather, a change of clothes is recommended.
3) Please come prepared with proper walking shoes, sun protection and insect repellent.
4) Badan Warisan will have some straw mats available on a first come first serve basis.
